Updates on our New Church

Architecture Award 2016
from the Hertfordshire Association of Architects

in Civic and Community Category
awarded to
Hemel Hempstead Methodist Church

Opening and Dedication Service Saturday 13th June 

Cutting of the ribbon by Revd Tony Cavanagh, former minister and Eamonn O'Reilly, project manager from our church

The key to the building was presented to Eamonn by a representative of Life Build Solutions Limited, the building contractors who completed the building

Guest preacher was the Revd Gareth Powell Assistant Secretary of the Methodist Conference. He is pictured below with the Revd Anne Brown Chair of the Beds, Essex and Herts Methodist District and our Minster the Revd Vindra Maraj-Ogden

Other guests included the Mayor of Dacorum, Councillor Gbola Adeleke, and his wife (pictured below), and Mr Mike Penning MP

We began worshipping in our new church in April 2015

We held an OPEN DAY on Saturday 9th May

Visit from the President of the Methodist Conference
On 26 January 2014  the President of the Methodist Conference, Revd Ruth Gee spent the day in Hertfordshire and in the afternoon visited Hemel Hempstead Methodist Church as part of her visit to Hertfordshire.  She wrote up an account of her visit on the Methodist Church website.
