Free school meals make a huge difference to almost two million children in the United Kingdom, but when schools are closed so are the kitchens. “Make Lunch” is a network of churches working to fill the holiday hunger gap.
At Hemel Hempstead Methodist Church, on each Thursday of the summer school holiday, a hot meal will be provided for children and their families (no referrals required). We will be open from 11.30 am, giving children an opportunity to play, supervised by their parents, with lunch being served at12.00 noon.
